How to Calculate Corrected Age
If your baby is 6 months old from birth (chronological age), but was born 2 months premature (8 weeks early), their corrected age is 4 months (6 - 2 = 4). Expect them to meet milestones typical of a 4-month-old infant, not a 6-month-old.
When Do Preemies Catch Up?
